IMPPA Welcomes Bihar Tourism Minister to Discuss Film Promotion Opportunities


The Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) hosted a productive meeting on September 14th, 2024, with the esteemed Shri Nitish Mishra, Minister of Tourism and Industries for Bihar. The Minister met with IMPPA's President, Shri Abhay Sinha, Sr. Vice President Ms. Sushama Shiromanee, Vice President Shri Surendra alias Tinu Verma, Treasurer Shri Babubhai Thiba, General Secretary Shri Kukoo Kohli, and members of the Executive Committee.

The central theme of the meeting revolved around promoting Bihar as a prime filming destination for the Indian film industry. Minister Mishra highlighted the state's wealth of captivating locations and readily available facilities. He encouraged IMPPA to actively promote Bihar as a top filming destination, ensuring filmmakers fully utilize the state's vast potential. Discussions also touched upon the recently announced Bihar Film Policy. While the policy has been approved, its implementation is still pending. IMPPA representatives expressed their optimism that the policy, once fully executed, will introduce a range of benefits and incentives for film producers. These incentives are expected to make Bihar a highly attractive filming location. Additionally, IMPPA emphasized the need for proper infrastructure and facilities to be established for smooth and successful film productions. This will further solidify Bihar's position as a top choice for filmmakers nationwide.

The Hon'ble Minister provided firm assurances of the government's full support and cooperation in propelling Bihar towards becoming a leading film shooting destination.
